Oh, October

From The Publisher

By Diane Braun September 28, 2026

If you're like me, this past week's cooler weather was a game-changer.  Waking up in the morning and opening the door to cooler temps, instead of hot humidity, definitely made my day. I've lived in southern Indiana most of my life so I know we still have to deal with Indian Summer, but a few weeks of layering sweatshirts over t-shirts is a small price to pay.

How about you? Is your calendar filling up with fall festivals, pumpkin patches and bonfires?  If you need something to do, be sure to check out our Fall Events Guide! So many activities that are mostly FREE! Big thanks to our guide sponsor, Mayse Farm Market! Be sure to check out the article about everything there is to do at Mayse this fall.

After following the Evansville Otters all season and into the post-season and celebrating a terrific summer of baseball, we're ready for fall and winter sports. Our partnership with the Evansville Thunderbolts will continue with their spot on our website, posted with game schedules and special events.  We'll be giving game tickets away too so follow us on Facebook!

Let us know if there's an event we need to add to the guide or on our events calendar. You can add events for FREE so be sure to check out this page on our website!

Bring on the sweatshirts, falling leaves and pumpkins!
