Spooky Tales And Nighttime Trails

October 12, 2026

Get ready for Spooky Tales & Nighttime Trails, a uniquely fun evening of night hikes and spooky stories! Beginning at 6:30 P.M., let our park naturalists lead you into the preserve for a night adventure on the trails. Learn of the mysterious and perhaps creepy nocturnal creatures of the woods in several stops along the way. By 8 P.M., our hike concludes at a shelter house for a session of spooky tales as told by our friends, the RiverTown StoryTellers. Stories are appropriate for all ages, just mildly spooky, not gory horror stories. Cost of admission is $8.00 at the gate. Hikers are advised to wear sturdy closed-toe shoes, dress for the weather, and bring a flashlight. Meets at the Welcome Center/Warbler Road Trailhead.

Contact Lisa Hoffman at 502-782-9727 or lisa.hoffman@ky.gov for further details.

Stories and nocturnal creature stations will be moved indoors in the event of inclement weather.
